“Be still with yourself until the object of your attention affirms your presence.” Minor White

Photography, at least for me, has always been a form of meditation, reflection, revelation & returning. Today, these summer
bounties gave me yet another loving reminder to return to the beautiful quietness beneath the chatter of everyday life. What a blessing!

I wish you all an endless celebration of summer’s bounties.

  2. oh, just so beautiful…ya for summer!!!

    thank you for the beauty…

    reminded me of this quote…

Look at the trees, look at the birds, look at the clouds, look at the stars… and if you have eyes you will be able to see that the whole existence is joyful. Everything is simply happy. Trees are happy for no reason; they are not going to become prime ministers or presidents and they are not going to become rich and they will never have any bank balance. Look at the flowers – for no reason. It is simply unbelievable how happy flowers are. ~Osho

  3. Your photography fascinates me, and I look at it a lot. I think you have captured and understand what I might call the psychology of imagery. You have mastered form, composition, and color to a degree that few artists ever attain in any media. I’m endlessly impressed with your technical expertise, and how you transfer your vision from imagination to tangible result. Congratulations to you!

  6. Agnes, I love how you connected photography and meditation & stillness. I love the quote your chose. It resonates with what I focus on in my yoga/meditation classes.
We all need to remind ourselves to “stop and smell the flowers” to appreciate the gift of being alive. I can see how crucial stillness is for a photographer to capture this gift in images. You do it well!

  7. splendid, i really love summer and all the colours that unfold. I agree, walking around with my camera is a form of meditation. Some get too caught up in the technical things, that they forget to forcus on the beauty that is all around them. These photos capture it beautifully!! :)
